1. the most holy place in a church 圣殿。
△Ado.2.1.267 (257): “while she is here,a man may live as quietin hell as in a sanctuary，” i.e. “hell itself becomes asanctuary,in comparison with her presence”(Fur-ness). 她一天留在这世上，一个人就会觉得住在地狱里倒像是住在圣殿里一样清静安详。
