【辨异】evidence与exhibit、testimony及proof都表示证据或证明。evidence 指司法调查中所提出的情况和事实，但不一定能证实某事的对与错，如：The evidence is very shaky. (那项证据非常不可靠。) exhibit 指法律中的证据或证件，如： The prosecution introduced the weapons into evidence as exhibits A and B. (检方将那些武器分别作为物证甲和物证乙出示。)testimony 通常指目击者的证言或出庭作证，如：give false testimony in court (在法庭上作伪证);proof 则指不容置疑的确凿证据，如：produce evidence in proof of one's innocence (拿出证据以证明自己是无辜的)。
