【辨异】custom与habit和practice都可表示做事情的固定方式。custom指传统的习俗，可以是社会习俗，也可以是个人的习惯，如：It is the custom to give gifts at Christmas time.(圣诞节时送礼是传统习俗。)It's my custom to rise early.(早起是我的习惯。)habit(习惯)则仅指个人而言，如：form a bad habit of biting one's nails(养成咬指甲的坏习惯);practice(习惯，做法)指固定的习惯，一贯的做法和风气，可指社会习惯，此时有贬义，如：the practice of eating one's enemies(吃敌人的风俗)，也可指个人的习惯做法，如：It is his practice to verify all statements.(核对所有的结算单是他的习惯做法。)
