【辨异】1) border与edge和margin都表示“边”的概念。 edge指表面的边缘线，如：the edge of a table(桌子边);border指一表面的外缘之内或之外的窄边，如：a border of lace(花边); margin指一表面外缘内空着的窄边，如：the margin of a page(一页的空白边)。2) border与frontier和boundary都可表示“边界”。border与frontier都表示“国界”，只是border更常用于有天然分界(如河流)之时，frontier则不尽然，如：the border/frontier between Spain and Portugal(西班牙与葡萄牙之间的国界); frontier 还可用于指与荒野的无人居住区接壤的有人居住地带;并可用于转义，如：the frontiers of knowledge/science(知识/科学的前沿领域);而boundary则是自然或行政区划(可小于国家)的界线，如：the boundary of our land/our parish(我们土地/教区的界线)。
