(2) 在……期间(范围)之内 (within (the course of))：He met her/was wounded twice～the war. 战争中他遇见她/受伤了两次。He woke up～the night twice. 夜里他醒来两次。Two trains left～the evening.晚间开走了两列车。He works～the day but is free in the evening. 他白天工作，晚上有空。

(3) 在……期间(的某一点上) (at (a particular point in the course of))：die/be born～the 18th century 死于/出生于18世纪(的某个时候);He called/dropped in/came here (sometimes)～her absence .她不在时他打来电话/顺便进来拜访/来到这里。
