【辨异】disappear与vanish都表示“消失”之意，区别在于：disappear可指突然消失，也可指逐渐消失，如：He turned down a side street and then disappeared.(他拐到旁边的一条街上，然后就不见了。) 而vanish则一般指迅速而且完全消失，常常是神秘地消失，如：A mirage can vanish as suddenly as it appears.(海市蜃楼往往刚一出现就消失了。)
