(2)使人感情波动(cause to feel an emotion，eg sorrow，anger，love，sadness，sympathy，etc;touch)[T+n]：A speech/Music/Her death/The news/The failure/The woman's tears～ed him deeply.演讲/音乐/她的死/那消息/失败/那女人的眼泪使他很感动(悲伤)。be～ed by the sad news/at the sad sight 被悲伤的消息/凄凉的景象所触动;be～ed to tears 感动得落泪;〖同〗move，touch，impress，stir;

(3)(疾病)感染((of a disease) attach or infect)[T+n]：Cancer has～ed his lungs.癌已感染了他的肺。The disease is～ing his eyes/kidney/lungs.这病使他的眼睛/肾/肺受到感染。Anthrax～s cattle and sheep.炭疽病能感染牛羊。

【辨异】不要混淆affect¹ 和effect。affect是vt，意思是“影响”、“感动”;effect当“影响”、“结果”讲时是n(其对应的动词是affect)，如：Alcohol affects drivers' concentration.(酒精影响司机的注意力。)Alcohol has a very bad effect on drivers.(酒精对司机有极坏作用。)effect用作动词时，意为“招致，产生，实现(结果，后果)”，如：Her tears effected the desired result — he forgave her.(她的眼泪产生了预期的效果——他原谅了她。)试对比：Her tears affected him deeply.(她的眼泪深深感动了他。)influence也表示“影响”，但不表示不良的影响，也不强调结果。
