拾shí
Ⅰ (把地上的东西拿起来; 捡) pick up (from the ground); collect: ~ 柴 collect firewood; ~ 散落在地里的麦穗 gather up the loose ears of wheat in the fields; 在街上 ~ 到一个钱包 pick up a purse on the street; 他小心地把钉子 ~ 了起来。 He cautiously picked up the nails. Ⅱ (“十” 的大写) ten (used for the numeral 十 on cheques, banknotes, etc. to avoid mistakes or alterations)
