(2)而……也不(and...not...either)[与助动词和情态动词连用，主语位于动词之后] (fml)： I don't know，～do I care. 我不知道，而且也不在乎。I never saw him again，～did I regret it. 我再也没有见过他，而且对此并不感到遗憾。 She had understood nothing，～had she sought to understand. 她什么也不懂，也不想懂。His father wouldn't give him any money，and～would he lend him any. 他父亲分文不肯给他，也分文不肯借给他。I could not afford to eat in restaurants and～could anyone I knew. 我下不起饭馆，我认识的人也都下不起。

【用法】nor在表示上述第(2)义的含意时，英国英语在nor前加and或but，美国英语则不加。
