(2) 每一个; 每个的(each of an indefinite number or series) (与可数的单数名词连用，强调全体中的个体)：～man/year 每个人/每年; I enjoyed～moment of the party. 整个聚会我都非常高兴。He attends to her～want. 他满足她的每一个要求。There are two sides to～question. (prov) 每个问题都有两个方面。〖同〗 each;

(3) 所有可能的;充分的 (the most possible; the utmost) (用于抽象名词)：give sb～ assistance 尽可能多地帮助某人; have～reason to believe 有充分的理由相信; make～attempt to do sth 尽各种努力做某事; show sb～consideration 充分为某人着想; He has(There is)～chance of success/that he will be successful. 他有充分的机会获得成功。The child was given～care. 那个孩子得到了充分的关怀。I wish you～success. 祝你事事如意。

(4) 每隔 …… 的; 每 …… 中的 (each in a specified series)：～two weeks 每隔两周;～second week 每隔一周; choose one out of～five students 每五个学生中选一个;～few days/hours 每隔数天/几个小时;

every bit 每一点; 全部：He is～bit as mean as she is. 他和她一样自私。

every now and again (or then) 常常地;不时地：Please write me a letter～now and then. 请时常给我写信。He borrows money from me～now and again. 他不时地向我借钱。

every once in a while偶尔：He wrote me a letter～once in a while. 他偶尔给我写信。

every other 每隔：～other day/page 每隔一天/一页; The teacher asked～other student to answer the question. 老师隔一个叫一个学生回答问题。

every so often 时不时地：We still see each other～so often. 我们仍时常见面。

every time 每当，总是：He bursts into laughter～time he hears the story. 他每次听到这个故事总是大笑。

(in) every way 从各个方面来说：This book is (in)～way better than that one. 这本书无论从哪个方面来说都比那本更好。

every which way 四面八方;非常混乱：Wires led～which way from the truck to the Mansion. 电线从卡车上纵横交错地通向大楼。children with hair and clothes～which way 头发和衣服都乱七八糟的孩子;
