【用法】alike前不可加both，如：*The two horses are both～.

【辨异】1)alike和similar都表示“相似(像)”;但alike指有某种关系而相似(如：双胞胎);similar则指不同的事物有相似之处。2)alike 和like²都表示“像”，但用法不同。alike (adj & adv)只用在动词后(用作pred或状语)，不可跟名(代)词;like (prep & adj)可用在动词后，也可单独用，可跟名词或代词，如：The twins are/look/behave like their father.(这对双胞胎像/样子像/举止像他们的父亲。)Like causes tend to produce like results.(相同的原因往往产生相同的结果。)
