1. mandragora.i.e.a plant,theforked roots of which resemblethe human limbs. It was fabledthought if a mandrake waspulled up it shrieked and socaused the listener to go mad orto die. 曼陀罗草，植物名，其根似人肢体；过去传说曼陀罗根被拔出土地时会尖叫，闻者发狂或致死。

mandrake曼德拉草(Mandragora)
玄参目茄科(Solanaceae)曼陀罗草属多年生植物的统称。原产欧洲。叶大，花白色。根叉式，与人形相似，据信具治病和催欲作用。
