【辨异】agreement 和 contract¹ 与 bargain 都可表示双方之间的协约。agreement 为最常用词，可指个人之间非正式的协议，也可指国家之间的协定;contract¹尤指具有法律作用的商业或法律契约与合同;bargain 专指买卖上的契约与合同;还有compact 指国与国或政治团体之间的条约和联盟，或个人之间庄重的誓约，可以不一定是书面形式的，但建立在互相信任和强烈义务感之上。
