由鸟类表皮角质化而成的一种结构。着生于鸟体一定的羽域内。羽域之间被裸域相隔。羽中的羽绒起保温作用，廓羽着生于鸟类两翼和尾部，有飞翔的功能。正羽有羽轴，其两侧的羽小枝相互钩结，组成羽瓣。羽有一定色彩，一部分由于色素，一部分由于光线反射及衍射所致。多数鸟类每年至少换羽一次。
