【辨异】contempt与scorn都可表示一种不赞许和厌恶、嘲笑的强烈感情。contempt 语气最强，表示对于卑鄙、卑劣、不足取的事或人的不赞许和厌恶;scorn(轻蔑，藐视)指对认为不值得重视的事或人的毫不掩饰的蔑视和反感，如：feel contempt for one's would-be assassin/scorn for fools(鄙视可能刺杀自己的人/蔑视笨蛋)。
