(2)仅仅的，独具的(concerning sb or sth only)[作pred][A(to)]：special difficulties～to blind people 盲人所独有的特殊困难;

(3)极不寻常的，罕见(独特)的(very rare or unusual)(infml)：(actor)with a～sense of timing 有特殊时间意识的(演员);(person) in a～position (某人)身居特殊地位;a rather～little restaurant 一家相当独特的小饭店;a～knowledge of ancient European coins 欧洲古代硬币的特殊知识;

【注意】unique 是一个需要慎重使用的词。第三词义是一个口语的非正式用法，在能使用rare， unusual， remarkable 时要尽量避免使用unique一词。
