(1)共同地，一块儿，在一起(in or into a single group，mass，or place);travel/live/fight～一起旅游/生活/战斗;be～在一起;gather/collect/flock/crowd～聚集/聚集/聚集/挤在一起;rub one's hands～搓手;get all the reference books/add the numbers～把所有的参考书放在/把这些数加在一起;get along (on)～在一起相处融洽;

(2)加(合)起来，使在一起(regarded collectively;in total)：She did/knew more than all of us～. 她做/知道的比我们所有人的总和还多。(sth) cost/be worth more than all the others～(某物)费的钱/价值比所有其他物品加在一起还多;India is much bigger than all the west European countries (put)～. 印度的面积比所有西欧国家加起来的面积还大得多。

(3)使结合(接触，在一起)(so as to be in contact)：stick/glue/nail/tie/sew/fix/join/mix things～把一些东西粘/粘/钉/捆/缝/固定/合/混合在一起;

(4)(意见)一致，协力(in or into harmony or cooperation)：be (stand) absolutely～on the issue 在这个问题上完全一致;bring the two sides in the dispute～使争论的双方趋于一致;(story/argument) do not hang (hold)～(故事/论点)前后不一致;T～we persuaded him/pushed the stalled car/carried the piano down the stairs. 我们一起劝他/推抛锚的车/把钢琴搬到楼下。

(5)一起，同时(at the same time)：(all the troubles) come～(所有的麻烦)同时来临;The bells rang out/guns went off～. 那些铃同时响起来/枪一齐开火。(people) all shout/talk～(人们)同时欢呼起来/谈起话来;play the two notes～同时弹两个音符;The rain and the earthquake arrived/His arrival and my departure happened～. 下雨的同时，发生了地震/他到的时候我正好离开。You can't have both～. 你不能两者兼得。

(6)连续(不间断)地(continuously;without interruption)：The meeting went on/It rained for hours～. 会议一连开了/雨连续下了几个小时。sit reading for hours/be away from home for months～连续坐着看几小时的书/离家好几个月;

get together 聚会，联欢;互相合作：Several members of the club got～for a small party. 俱乐部的几名成员举行了一个小型聚会。I'm glad to see that the two firms have got～at last. 我很高兴地看到这两个公司最后互相合作了。

together with 连同，和：We went home～with our friends. 我们和朋友们一起回家了。My knowledge，～with his money，should be very useful. 我的知识，加上他的钱应当是非常有用的。

【说明】together with 通常放在句子的主语之后，不影响句子谓语动词数的变化(其数的变化取决于句子的主语)，如：John，together with his brother，has gone to the party.(约翰和他兄弟一起去参加了宴会。)与其用法相同的还有：in addition to，along with，as well as，besides和like 等。
