【注意】除了和“be”连用以外，this 一般不指人。

【用法】this和that 作指示代词时，都用来表达所指的东西。前面刚提到的东西，英语中常用that (而汉语常用“这”)，如：We have no time to do it. That's our trouble.(我们没有时间做这些，这就是我们的问题。)而句中所指的对象下面将提到，英语中常用this，如：This is what bothers me. We have no time to consider late applications.(这就是常常烦扰我的事，我们没有时间顾及晚交的申请。)
