2006年8月24日，国际天文学联合会第26届大会做出决定，把太阳系的～限定为8颗，它们是：水星、金星、地球、火星、木星、土星、天王星和海王星，而于1930年被发现的冥王星则被剥夺太阳系～的资格，降级为“矮～”。On August 24,2006,the International Astronomical Union at its 26th Conference adopted a decision that membership will be restricted to eight planets in the solar system:Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus and Neptune,while Pluto,which was discovered in 1930,was stripped of the planetary status and downgraded to a “dwarf planet”.
