(2)要人(important person)：She acts as if she were～since she won the prize. 自从获奖以来，她就表现得好像自己很了不起似的。He is～in his own town but just a nobody here. 在他那个镇子上他算是个人物，可在这儿却是无名之辈。

or somebody 诸如此类的人：This sort of work needs a mechanic or～. 这种工作需要一位机修工之类的人。

【用法】不定代词 somebody、someone、everyone、no one 等都是单数，因而后面就应跟一个单数代词(如 he、she、his、her 等)。根据习惯，如果人的性别不详，可用男性代词he、him、his 来泛指男性和女性;为避免性别之嫌，可用they、them、their (口语中尤如此)。
