【说明】 behind与in front of 为一对反义的介词，如：John is behind Tom. Tom is in front of John. behind与in front是一对反义的副词，如：sit behind/in front (坐在后边/前边)。

【辨异】 behind与in back of和back of 都可表示“在……后面”。behind 可用于各种语体;in back of 用于非正式语体;而back of则更为口语化，曾为学者们所禁忌，但现用得越来越广。
