【辨异】replace与substitute 都可以表示“替换”，但语法结构不同，如：use oil to replace coal 或replace coal with oil(用石油代替煤);而substitute则用下面的结构：sbstitute oil for coal(用石油代替煤)。另外displace(代替，替换)表示代替某人时，有悲伤、生气、或感到缺乏公正的感情，如：I don't want to be displaced in your heart by that young fool. (我不想让那个小傻瓜代替我在你心中的位置。)
