【辨异】renew与repair和restore都表示使某物恢复成原来的状态。renew表示使恢复到原来精神饱满的状态，如：renew one's enthusiasm(恢复自己的热情);repair(修理)表示把损坏的东西修补好，如：repair the roof of a house(修理房顶);restore(恢复)强调使消失的东西再现，或使人回到原来的地位，如：restore a picture(修复一幅画);restore a king to his throne(使国王恢复王位)。
