【辨异】bank与beach、shore、coast和seaside 都指与水域相接的陆地。shore可指海、洋、湖的岸，是个通用词，如：camp on the shore of the lake (在湖滨宿营);而coast仅可指海、洋的岸，且用于与地图、海防、气候有关的场合，如：the Atlantic coast of America (美洲的大西洋海岸);seaside指沿海、 洋的度假地区，如：spend summer at the seaside (在海滨度夏);beach 是 shore的一部分，布满沙子或卵石，涨潮时被水覆盖，如：The beach was crowded with sunbathers.
