据法守正jù fǎ shǒu zhèngstick to the letter of the law; uphold justice and abide by the law
❍ 赵禹时～。杜周不谀，以少言为重。(《史记·酷吏列传》3154)❶Zhao Yu stuck to the letter of the law and was careful to be fair,but Du Zhou simply flattered the whims of the ruler and believed that gravity consisted in saying little.
