【辨异】 1)attend与tend¹都可用作vt，表示 “照看(料)”(见(3))，如：attend/tend the wounded(照料伤员);但attend 可表示“照应”(见(2))，如：Please attend to this customer.(请招待一下这位顾客。)而tend则不可，在AmE中也只能说：tend the shop/the bar(在商店/酒吧做服务工作);attend可表示“注意”(见(1))，如：Attend to your work!(用心工作!)，而tend仅能在AmE中这么用。2)attend与accompany、convoy和escort 的区别见ACCOMPANY。
