【辨异】odd 与peculiar、queer和strange 这四个词都有“不寻常”的意思。odd强调反常，有时有“稀奇”的含意，如：an odd custom(离奇的风俗);peculiar(奇异的)着重“独特性”，如：a theme peculiar to the writer(那位作家独特的主题);queer(可疑的)强调“可疑、可虑”的含意，如：a queer transaction(一笔可疑的交易);strange(陌生的)是最普通，应用最广的词，强调“生疏、不常见”，如：a strnage expression(一种奇怪的表情)。
