【辨异】observe 和witness都指“看到……”observe意为“留心、注意到”，指看到并加以仔细思考，如：observe the behaviour of birds/a person's pronunciation(观察鸟的习性/注意到某人的发音);witness(目击)，指某事发生时恰好在场，指仔细地观察并能描述作证，如：witness an accident(目睹一事故)。
