many's the time/the day/the person，etc(who/that)曾有很多次/多天/多人，等：Many's the man who's come out of his office trembling.曾有多少人浑身哆嗦地从他办公室走出来。Many's the job I've left unfinished.有许多工作我还没有干完。

【注意】若指可数事物的数时用many，其反义词是few;若指不可数物的量时用much，其反义词是little。

【用法】many常用于否定，疑问或条件句;可用作det修饰主语，或用作pron作主语，多放在句首。在口语中many常被a lot of，a large number of所替代，常与how，too，so，as连用。

【辨异】many 与numerous 和innumerable 均指数量多。many是常用普通字，如：There were many people.(当时有许多人。)numerous较为正式，多修饰复数和单数复合名词，指数量众多，如：letters too numerous to mention(信多得不胜枚举);innumerable则强调数量多的难以计数，如：There are innumerable stars in the sky.(天上的星星数不清。)
