同美相妒tóng měi xiāng dùthose who are as handsome (/talented) as each other are jealous of each other
❍ ～，女则武后，韦庶人、萧良娣是也； 男则赵高、李斯是也。(《秦书·安体》) Those who are as handsome or pretty and talented as each other are jealous of each other. For example,among women there were Empress Dowager Wu,Wei Shuren and Xiao Liangdi; among men there were Zhao Gao and Li Si. |
