创业垂统chuàng yè chuí tǒnglay the foundation of the inheritance and hand down the beginning one has made
❍ 苟为善，后世子孙必有王者矣。君子～，为可继也。若夫成功，则天也。(《孟子·梁惠王下》) If you do good,among your descendants,in after generations,there shall be one who will attain to the imperial dignity. A prince lays the foundation of the inheri tance,and hands down the beginning which he has made,doing what may be continued by his suc cessors. As to the accomplishment of the great result,that is with Heaven. |
