【辨异】ill 和sick都有“病”的意思，都可用作表语，但英美习惯用法略有不同，如：He was ill.(英) He was sick.(美)作为定语时，英美一律用sick，不能用ill。sick还有“恶心”、“想呕吐”、“讨厌”的意思。
