(1)有人，任何人(any person)(用法同anybody)：Is there～at home? 家里有人吗? I hope it will not worry～.我希望这不会使任何人担忧。Hardly～believes that.几乎没人相信那事。If～asks where you are，what shall I say? 如果有人问你在哪儿，我怎么说? It's doubtful whether～will come.未必会有人来。

(2)每个人，无论谁(everyone，no matter who;one person out of many)：A～can enter for competition，can't they? 每个人都可以参加竞争，不是吗? A～who is over eighteen is allowed in.任何满18岁者都允许入内。Ask～and you'll get the same answer.无论你问谁，得到的答案都一样。She can do that sort of work better than～else.她干那种工作比谁都出色。

【说明】在语言的实际运用中anyone比 anybody更常见。

【辨异】anyone仅指人，而any one或指人(指单个的或特指的人)，如：Can any one of the boys play the flute?(这些男孩子中有哪一个能吹笛吗?) 或指物，如：Which screwdriver do you want?—Any one will do.(你要哪一把螺丝刀? ——无论哪把都行。)
