(2)大声通报(……的到来)(make known the arrival or entrance of sth in a loud voice)[T+n]：The footman～d the guests.男仆大声通报客人们的到来。When she arrived，the servant/doorman～d her (by telephone).她到来时，仆人/门卫(用电话)通报她的到来。

(3)(播音员)报告(介绍)(read (news) or introduce (a person or act) on the radio，TV，etc)[T+n]：The announcer has～d tonight's programs.播音员已报告了今晚的节目。She～d the next singer.她给下一名歌手报幕。～hockey games on TV在电视上解说曲棍球比赛;

(4)显示，表明(make clearly known)[T+n，T+that]：The gathering dark clouds～d(the coming of) a storm.聚集的乌云表明有暴风雨(即将来临)。Warm winds～d that spring was coming.温暖的风表明春天来了。〖同〗foretell;

【辨异】announce与declare都表示正式公开地传播某事。announce宣布的事常常是预期将要发生的，如：announce a lecture series(宣布系列讲座);declare(宣布，宣告;声称)指官方正式宣告，如：declare a war(宣战);还有proclaim(宣布，宣告)，指当局向大众宣布普遍关心的事情，如：proclaim a holiday(宣布假日)。
